How do you calculate who owes whom?
For each person, we subtract their share of all expenses from the amount they paid. A positive balance means they should receive money; a negative balance means they owe money. We then match these balances into suggested transfers. Someone may pay a person who didn’t directly pay their original bill.
How do uneven splits and rounding work?
Choose percentages that total 100%, or exact amounts that total the bill. We calculate using whole paise or cents. For equal or percentage splits, leftover paise or cents go to the largest fractional shares, with ties following the displayed participant order. For example, ₹100 split three ways becomes ₹33.34, ₹33.33 and ₹33.33.
Can I split rent or household expenses by income?
Yes. Enter your agreed percentages using “By percentage.” For example, a 60/40 split of ₹20,000 is ₹12,000 and ₹8,000. The calculator applies the arrangement you choose; it does not decide what is fair for your household.
Can everyone edit together or make payments here?
This version is managed by one person in one browser. Sharing creates result images and a short message with an Aeroniqx tool link. The link opens the calculator, not your private group. It does not transfer money or track completed repayments. For a new settled period, keep a backup and start fresh.
Are my expenses uploaded? Can I use it offline?
Expense calculations and optional saved records stay on this device. Sharing and downloads happen only when you choose them. Keep a backup because browser storage can be cleared. Once Aeroniqx has finished saving its app files during a connected visit, this calculator is available offline too.
Can I mix currencies or include tips and taxes?
Use one currency per group; changing the currency does not convert amounts. Include any tip or tax in the total you enter. For mixed-currency expenses, convert them to your chosen group currency first. Each group supports up to 50 people and 500 expenses.
